I have to say the Stanley Park Rose Garden is looking incredibly beautiful right now. The roses are in full bloom and the colours are magnificent. I met up with Catherine and Mc early Saturday morning in for their engagement session.Catherine told me that her family describes her as having an old soul because she loves gardening and old shows. The rose garden seemed like a fitting place to start.
Catherine & Mc met in grade school many years ago. They used to be classmates and sit next to each other at one point (how cute is that?!). I absolutely loved hearing about their background and how they grew up together. They are both half Chinese and half Filipino and I think that is the coolest thing. They travel back to both places occasionally, but they now call Vancouver home. Catherine & Mc were beautifully dressed and their colourful outfits matched this season perfectly. After talking to Catherine, I’ve realized that I need to head to Hong Kong to get some shopping done! One of my favourite things about this couple is their laughter. The entire session was filled with smiles, laughs and they made my job so easy. When they suggested to take off their shoes and run through the water at third beach in their formal clothes I was thrilled! Firstly, because that is totally something I would do…. Secondly, I want my couples to have fun when I’m capturing them. I want their personalities to shine. I think Catherine and Mc were beaming 🙂
They are planning their upcoming wedding for next January in the Philippines with a large gathering of family and friends. I’m sure it will be amazing! Thank you both for allowing me to capture your love!
