I went away this past weekend. Camping. I haven’t been real camping in over a decade so it was a fun adventure for me. We were up past Princeton in the surrounded by lots of trees & fresh air. I love spending time in nature… I also love my modern amenities. Part way through the trip I decided to take a little side trip by myself to Kelowna. One of my best friends(Renée) lives there and I hadn’t seen her in awhile. It would have been a shame to get so close and not have the chance to see her. I took a gravel logging road and ended up in Peachland. From there I headed north east to Kelowna. If you’re not familiar with off roading I wouldn’t recommend it. No cell service, not many signs and no google maps!
I first met Renée when I lived in Kelowna… I was 19 and she was 22. Wow how time flies! I don’t make it back to K-town often but when I do it’s always a good time. Ever since I’ve known Renée there has been one special thing that stands out about her (besides her being totally awesome overall)… Her style! Renée has always had a beautifully decorated place even prior to her formal interior design studies. Her home is filled with many unique and interesting pieces. I have a great appreciation for her creativity and what she is able to do with a space. Renée has an incredible niche for being able to turn old things into new. You can bring her almost anything and she will turn it into something cool. I would describe her style as fresh, beachy and maybe a bit vintage? I also forgot to tell you that this girl can organize! Anything. She isn’t afraid to de-clutter or throw away things. We are so opposite when it comes to home style (As in she has style and I do not 😉 I thought it would be fun to feature her on my blog so you can see what a great style sense she has too. There is a black & white photo on her fridge of us from back in the day…So you can see what we looked like 8 years ago. If you’d like to hire her to decorate, organize, or refurbish a unique piece for your space please feel free to contact me. I would be more than happy to pass on her contact info.
Renée- it was a short- but oh so sweet visit! Love you xoxo
