The Yoga Goddess!
When I found out my cousin Natasha was coming to town not only was I looking forward to seeing her, I was hoping to get the chance to join in on her Hatha Yoga class. When you first meet Natasha you think wow this girl has got some beauty going for her. Then when you get to know her and you will understand there is a lot more there than just a pretty face. She also has brains! Yes, we all have brains but this girl is one smart cookie. Natasha has worked very hard to be as successful as she is and you can sense her determination when you are in her presence.
This past Saturday I headed out to Maple Ridge as Natasha was visiting my Aunt and Uncle. They whipped up a pretty fabulous lunch and we spent time catching up as I hadn’t seen her in awhile. I got to meet her new husband Cam which was a real treat. After lunch we headed out to the beautiful backyard to get some snapshots. After a few fun poses we were off to Yoga class! The 90 minute class was amazing. Not only did I leave leave feeling like my muscles got a bit of a workout, I also felt incredibly relaxed. Natasha has such a strong yet soothing voice during instruction. Her voice puts you into pure relaxation mode and it’s hard not to fall asleep by the end. You would have to hear it to understand what I mean. Let me tell you if she ever has children she won’t have any problem getting them to sleep at night with that magical voice. It may sound weird but it’s true. Natasha lives and teaches yoga in Edmonton. You should also be aware she does these fabulous Yoga retreats in Maui. Maui and Yoga people! What more could you want? Lastly… I forgot to mention that she is pretty darn nice too and if you ever get the chance to meet her you will probably be grateful.
I was trying hard not to laugh while taking this photo as I was rolling around in the grass and I kept getting grass in my eyes.
I love this picture above because it almost looks like her hand is coming out of the mirror with the fingertip reflection on the frame.
The yoga studio Natasha hosted the class in was beautiful.
